Classic Sonata Watches
Ulysse Nardin has produced a number of timepieces featuring the sonata complication. The most recent one that was unveiled by the Swiss watch manufacturer is the Ulysse Nardin Classic Sonata. This state-of-the-art watch is a combination of both style and highly functional complications. It is an alarm watch like no other. In reality, it is some sort of high-end alarm watch.
Unlike other alarm watches where a hammer strikes a bell or the watch's case to produce a sound, the Classic Sonata uses a different mechanism. Just like repeater watches, this watch is tooled with a cathedral gong and hammer that are responsible for the ringing. The cathedral gong is incredibly long which will, in turn, result in a much louder and unique chime compared to normal alarm watches. The watch also comes with an inertial oscillator that controls the rhythm of the sound. The alarm complication is located at the 1 O’clock position.
DUAL TIME FUNCTION
A dual time watch is one that is equipped with two hour hands enabling it to indicate time in two different time zones. The Classic Sonata features a dual time function making it the ideal watch for people who travel through different time zones. The presence of an adjuster makes it a lot easier for manual corrections. By pushing the pushers located at the 4 and 8 O’clock positions, you can make the adjustments in either the forward or backward direction.
The Classic Sonata comes in 44 mm stainless steel case. The case could also be in gold or sapphire crystal. These materials are known for their hardness, therefore, making this watch pretty durable. It is also equipped with leather straps and a folding buckle. The leather straps ensure the watch is both aesthetically pleasing as well as durable.
This watch is water resistant to 30 meters.
